Water Supply and Sanitation Initiative WASSI is a Non – Governmental Organization (NGO) which was established on 9thJuly, 2019 for the purpose of advocacy to provide access to safe drinking water and proper sanitation based on SDG 6 of UN which said “Ensure availability and sustainability of water and sanitation for all”. Our core mandate is to assist and guide in providing simple, effective and affordable solutions to water and sanitation problems to people in urban and rural communitiesthrough free consultations, direct projects, awareness campaign, advocacy, capacity building and research.


We are out to help the vulnerables

To help and develop the distressed, needy, neglected and vulnerable targeted community, economically by providing them with necessary assistance for sustaining their lives and conditions in all aspect of water and sanitation, Hygiene promotion campaigns, Community total sanitation, Behavioral change towards hygiene promotion, Open defecation control, Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) Program. I.e., Screening for Acute Malnutrition (SAM) under 5yrs of Age, Admission of New cases i.e. Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), Treatment of uncomplicated SAM, Treatment of minor cases and IYCF program, House to House Smart Survey, Referral System, Health Education on nutrition to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers


Our strategy summarized what we are doing and our target for two years.

Reaching some of the most vulnerable populations in the remotest villages even during rainy seasons by use of motor bikes, boats and bicycles delivering WASH services.The four aspect that our strategy will focus in the two years are emergency, development, innovations and research.

Emergency: under this our main focus will be on emergency interventions during outbreaks, displacement or massive returnees that will need WASH intervention under our area of operation and beyond.

Development: our core target here is to participate indevelopmental projects in Water Supply and Sanitation in both Urban and Rural set up and the driven tool is the SDG 6.

Innovations: the organization is willing to cooperate with all stakeholders involved in water supply and sanitation to bring innovations that will lead to sustainability in the sector.

Research: We will collaborate with some academic institutions to perform some researches that will be integrated in our WASH intervention and also raise awareness on water contamination and environmental factors affecting climate change.
